Hi, I’m Peter Cooney, the owner of Irish Tours and Personal Tours Ireland. My journey as a guide began in 2015 when I earned my certification, and since then, I’ve been dedicated to sharing the wonders of this incredible country. I launched Personal Tours Ireland in 2015 with the goal of creating bespoke, tailor-made experiences that capture the heart and soul of Ireland.

Over the years, I’m proud to have become a multi-award winner on Tripadvisor, thanks to the unforgettable memories I’ve helped create for travelers from around the world.

In 2024, I took the next step in my adventure by founding Irish Tours, a new venture focused on 8-day small group tours of the South of Ireland. From the rugged coastlines of the Wild Atlantic Way to the historic charm of Ireland’s cities, my approach is to give you more than just a visit, an experience filled with stories, culture, and the local magic that makes Ireland truly special.

My approach to guiding is all about making you feel at home while uncovering the soul of Ireland. I believe in sharing not just the sights, but the stories that make them meaningful, and I’m committed to ensuring every moment of your visit is as special as the land itself.
