Itinerary
Collecting you from the Airport or directly from your Accommodation we drive south to Wicklow mountains and Glendalough 6th Century monastic site and tour the ruins that was once upon a time thriving until the occupant's were forced out in the 12th century.
Our next stop will be Kilkenny Castle,
Kilkenny castle is a 12th century castle found in the centre of Kilkenny City.
Originally Strongbow built a wooden castle on that site overlooking the River Nore in 1172. Years later, his son-in-law, the Earl of Pembroke built the first stone castle.
Only three of the castle's original four walls still survive today.
The fourth wall on the south side of the Castle is missing, also the gatehouse, moat, and tower. The cause of this is because of Cromwell's attack on the Castle in 1650 and his use of cannon on the building.
Kilkenny City over-night.
Waterford Crystal,
Tour the guided working factory that was first opened by the Penrose brothers in 1783 as a glassmaking factory in Waterford where their crystal was immediately recognized for its clarity and purity of color.
Jameson Distillery Midleton,
Enjoy a tour where you will learn about the history and how the whiskey is made at the home of jameson whiskey distillery in Midleton, Co Cork.
Cobh ( Pronounced Cove)
Here you have a few options but my recommendation would be the Titanic Museum Cobh.
This was the last port of call for the titanic's maiden voyage on the 11th April 1912.
At 11.30am RMS Titanic dropped anchor in Queenstown, Roches Point outer anchorage before the passenger's were brought aboard.
Today named Cobh, the luxury liner's final port of call on its maiden journey, before setting sail on the longest leg of the voyage to New York, USA.
Kinsale Over-night.
This is a day of scenery and natural beauty over the Cork and Kerry mountains.
Stopping at Gougane barra 6th Century ruins and also the source of the river lee that runs through Cork city, an 19th century oratory built on an island with a back drop of shehy mountains.
We then driving over the scenic route of Cork and Kerry mountain's, Caha pass and tunnel road, stopping in Kenmare for refreshment/lunch.
After your refreshment break we continuing our drive taken in part of the Ring of Kerry, Reaching the summit at Moll's Gap before we decent to Killarney via Killarney National Park and ladies view.
Killarney Over-night.
Dingle Peninsula, Conor pass summit, Slea Head drive, stopping at various places like Dunquin Pier that looks over the blasket islands that was once inhabited with completely Irish speaking population before everyone on the island fled after a bad terrifying storm in early 1950's.
Dingle over-night.
Leaving Dingle and driving to Bunratty 15th Century Castle and 19th century Folk Park.
Here you'll be guided throughout the folk park before you will also be guided through the castle and walk in the foot steps of the passed occupant's while feel the cold breeze that flows through the empty dungeons and spiral stairwells.
Upon leaving bunratty Castle we will drive to the famous Cliffs of Moher via the famous lehinch village and Lehinch golf course that over looks the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
You will have free time to explore the Cliff's of Moher at your own pace and leisure.
Next stop will be the quaint village of
Doolin.
Doolin is the traditional music capital of Ireland, gateway to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Aran Islands and the perfect place to spend the night.
Doolin over-night.
Leaving Doolin and driving to Galway via the Burren national park.
The Burren is a region of Co. Clare in the southwest of Ireland. It’s a karst landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone, with cliffs and caves, fossils, rock formations and archaeological sites.
Galway City is our next stop where you'll have free time to mingle with the locals, enjoy the street performers while shopping and experiencing the traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music.
Return to Dublin or your place of preference.
